Halloween
In a small town, there was a girl called Jane. She lived with her mum and dad. Every year, her mum and dad looked forward to Halloween, it was their favourite time of year. They loved it. Her mum dressed up as a cat. Her dad dressed up as a vampire and they put lots of decorations up in the house too.
They did not know Jane’s secret. Jane did not like Halloween, she was scared! She did not like to dress up, but every year her mum got her a new costume. She had been a pumpkin, a zombie, a ghost and this year she was dressed as a witch. Jane and her mum went trick-or-treating. This was the bit that scared Jane the most. She didn’t want to knock on doors and she didn’t like seeing people dressed up in scary costumes. She held on tight to her mum’s hand and would sometimes close her eyes when she saw a scary costume walking towards her.
When they got home they had a little party. This was the part of Halloween that Jane did enjoy. She would count all the candy she had collected and then eat it all at once till she got a sore tummy. Sun Safety
It is important for us all to be in the sun sometimes because the sun provides us with vitamin D. Vitamin D helps our bodies to absorb calcium which makes our bones strong and healthy. However, being in the sun too much can cause skin damage, eye damage and even skin cancer.
We need to know how to stay safe in the sun and how to protect our skin from ultraviolet rays (UV). The light from the Sun has invisible UV rays. These rays are what make our skin tan and burn.
How to Protect Your Skin- There are some simple ways to protect your skin and prevent sun damage:
• Stay out of the sun between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m as this is when it is at its hottest.
• Apply sunscreen regularly, especially if you are in and out of water.
• Wear a hat to protect your head and face from the Sun’s UV rays. Remember that your scalp can burn too!
• Wear sunglasses to protect your eyes. Buy sunglasses that provide 100% UV protection.
Answer the following questions:

Computer Cat- poem
Some cats like growling,
and some like to purr,
and others like napping
or licking their fur.
But my cat is different
and she would prefer
to use the computer all day.
She’s somewhat surprising,
not like other cats.
She blogs about dogs
and she reads about rats.
She loves online shopping
and video chats,
and searching for games she can play.
As long as the Internet’s
working just fine,
my cat’s on my laptop
and surfing online.
She likes it so much that
this kitty of mine
will never go out of the house.
She learned how to code
to control the machine
by clicking the keyboard
and swiping the screen.
But, why does she do it?
From what I have seen,
It's mostly to play with the mouse.
