Conservation of Energy Lab - Glow
This lab focused on the relationship between position and energy. For this lab, we needed to use a ball bearing, floral foam, and meter stick. We dropped the ball bearing into the floral foam for however many trials there are, each from a different height. Each trial will result in a different depth of the dents made by the ball bearing. Through this lab, I've learned that the greater the height, the more energy there is. One weakness that I have shown, however, is the calculations as they were not fully accurate. However, I have learned from my mistakes as it will improve my future labs.
Quiz: Equations and Units - Grow
This quiz tested our knowledge on equations and units that we have learned over the course of Marking Period 3. Some topics include momentum, energy, and impulse. The test was somewhat okay as I got a decent score, however, I could have done better. I did not understand the difference between impulse and Joules in notation and I had forgotten one part of the gravitational potential energy equation. However, this assignment has taught me what I did not know and has improved my knowledge for the upcoming test I had to take.Â
