Glow - Cold War Paragraphs

This assignment was based on the topic of the Cold War. We were tasked to analyze and answer questions that covered our reading of the Communist Manifesto. This assignment is considered my glow of this marking period since it has given me a clear understanding of communism and how it relates to the Cold War. This assignment has also allowed me to connect the topic with past topics that we have learned about such as the Industrial Revolution, which has helped me for my final exam. In this assignment, I wrote three paragraphs for each of the three paragraph questions that covered the topic of communist agendas. Overall, this assignment was very helpful for me in learning about American history and was an addition to strengthening my writing skills.

Grow - Unique Story

Based on our learning of the Cold War, we were tasked to write a unique story. The criteria was that we were to use at least ten vocabulary words that were given to us. For this, my story was about a Mestizo young woman who got caught up in a protest of the mothers of the plaza de Mayo for their missing children. What made this unique story a grow was that it could have used more background information in the story to let readers who may not know much about the Cold War understand the context. To make the story more lively, I also could have used more imagery so that readers will be able to picture the story. I also feel as if I lacked some information about the Cold War since I could have done more research, however, this unique story will serve as an example for me to use in future assignments for me to improve.
