ACS Chemistry Final Test Prep (Chapter 1 - Set 1) - Glow

This assignment is a test prep that was made to prepare us for an upcoming test that covers the topic of Atoms, Molecules, and Ions. We were to answer assigned questions while showing our work. Overall, this test prep consisted of questions that asked to find atomic mass, mass number, and net charge. This test prep tested our ability to identify certain elements based on givens and abundances. I am most proud of this assignment since it showcases my understanding of elements and its components and how to identify them. This assignment was also useful in preparing me for the test as it helped me understand our unit better.

Modeling Atoms Assessment - Grow

This assignment was a collaboration assignment based on the topic of Atoms. My partner and I chose to cover the concept of conservation of energy and matter in nuclear decay. Research was done to answer how energy and matter are conserved in atomic decays. Overall, this assignment has helped me better understand the idea of nuclear decay and the types of decays. This assignment has also improved my understanding on the law of conservation of matter and energy. What could have been done in this model is to include an explanation that directly answers the question of if the conservation of matter and energy exists in nuclear decays. More visuals and labeling could have also been done so that the model is more clear. However, this assignment has taught me how to structure models better and make it more concise.
