This assignment's purpose was to cover the whole story of the novella, Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck. We were tasked to write a 5 paragraph literary analysis choosing one of the two prompts:

• How does Steinbeck develop the major themes of (theme)?

• What does Of Mice and Men reveal about (theme), and how does Steinbeck reveal this message?

My choice was the first prompt as I discussed how Steinbeck developed the major theme of friendship through his writing style. I gave accurate evidence to the theme and provided relevant reasoning which got me a decent score on this analysis. The most enjoyable part about this assignment is that it helped me get a broader understanding of the novella.

This assignment was a group task to help students understand what life was like in Western Europe during the 16th century, also known as the Renaissance. There were several topics to cover in which our group was assigned to research Shakespeare's life. We provided accurate information about Shakespeare with citations and also a mini activity for the class. What could have been improved in this assignment was better communication among the group and better visuals on the presentation as it was not appealing enough. The most enjoyable part about this assignment was the class activity because it involved active participation and communication among everyone.
