Shoe For You: Kate's Dog Shoe Diego

For this assignment, we were tasked to design a shoe for a specific client. Our client was a dog owner as we had to create and construct a dog shoe. This project was done based on the Engineering Design Process as we went through all the steps. To define the problem, we formed problem and design statements according to an interview that was done with the client. In this interview, we got to learn of all the constraints that we needed to follow to provide suitable dog shoes. We needed to design dog shoes that are strong and durable, waterproof, easily recognizable, and include strings to keep the shoes together. The materials that we used were sheepskin, neoprene, foam, leather, purple silk, bells, rubber, and string. Overall, this project was successful as the requirements were all met. The concepts of this assignment were all used as my group and I were able to mutually come into an agreement and form a solution. My skills in collaboration and decision making are demonstrated through this project as we successfully went through the Design Process to design a dog shoe with given constraints.
