Who I am.
I am Natalie Ingram, a current Police dispatcher and an aspiring Elementary Education teacher. I grew up with a father in the military and a mother in the education field. My mother drilled education into our heads and my father drilled hard work into our heads. There has always been a lot of pressure to be successful in life, no matter the career field. My mother has inspired me to become a teacher, by growing up and watching her be so successful and happy.

What I know.
Being a police dispatcher by training, military daughter and now military spouse, I have a lot of experience when it comes to dealing with separation, strict rules, and law enforcement. I can help and support other military families/children with separation issues in a healthy way. I can also help lead children down the correct paths in life, to not get caught up with law enforcement.

What I need to learn.
Although I have a lot of life experiences that I would love to share, I still have a lot to learn. I need to learn more about being able to teach in different styles in order to be effective to all students. I want to challenge myself by continuing to learn. I want to learn new teaching styles, teaching techniques, and new ways to relate to my students. I will always stay true to myself and welcome all my students with a compassion heart.

The teacher I will become.
To start, the purpose of school in my eyes, is to help students grow and learn to be functional members of their community. My students will learn to be respectful and kind humans. I will always interact with my students by being accepting and understanding of them and their situations. My students will always be kind and respectful to one another. My number one philosophy for my classroom will be perennialism. I will focus on passing on my wisdom from my past experiences to my future students. My second philosophy would be social reconstructivism. I want my students to be wonderful functioning members of society with their own goals and perspectives on things.
