My Boys!
I am a Mom to four boys. I am a daughter. I am a sister. I am a student. I am a veteran. I am a Kindergarten teacher.
Growing up my Mother was an elementary teacher and I thought I would always follow in her footsteps. After graduating high school, I joined the Air Force and enjoyed traveling the world at a young age. I eventually married and had 4 children all while maintaining a job that I didn't love. I began substitute teaching once my youngest went to Kindergarten and realized quickly how much I wanted to become a teacher. I have returned to school to complete the requirements for my teaching license. I have recently been hired as a Kindergarten teacher under my provisional license.
Teaching has changed my life in so many ways. I have been fortunate to be able to change my career path in a direction that is truly rewarding and makes me excited to go to work each day!
Hi Christina,
I understand the feeling of going to a job that you do not love. I think it effects you mentally, how you feel in your daily life and trickle down to your family life. I also had the same feeling and made the change to teaching. You love do you never do feel like your working and you can be able to be more effective in reaching your students.
