I am someone who has always had a passion for the arts and education. It took me a long time to figure out what my personal art style was. My grandmother a seamstress, designer, sculptor/crafter. My sister, painter and drawer. Finally, my dad, all of the above. I was lucky to have my dad involved in the art scene when I was younger and living in DC. He was a docent at the National Gallery of Art, where my school often did field trips. I spent a lot of time observing my dad in his work. When he was not perusing art, he was running a kitchen or teaching at a culinary school. My dad is a big reason for helping me realize my direct passion for art education and its importance.
I know how to be compassionate
I know how to capture the attention of a group
I know that I want to teach older students.
I know that Max Ernst is my favorite artist
I know I want to move out of the U.S. and teach internationally.
I know my end goal in life is to own and live on a farm in southern Spain.
I have to learn time management
I have to learn to be better organized
I have to learn to stay task focused.
I have to learn what does and doesnt work with my desired teaching style.
I have to learn to be more patient if i end up teaching younger students.

Hi Lara! I thought it was very cool to read about someone with different educational goals than me, but with very similar values. I loveee that you are pursuing arts education and focusing on older students. I am going for elementary ed so we are pretty much opposites haha. I also struggle with time managment and organization, so I've got some work to do! Best of luck! - Megan Angel
