Hi Ashlie , I also have to learn about class management. I want to be as effective as possible and engage all of my students. I also need pratice with lesson planning. I want all of my lessons to grasp my students attention so that they all go home with something new learned everyday. -Mia Warren
Hello! Your page was adorable! You're so right, teachers leave lasting impacts both positive and negative. I worked at a preschool and it absolutely takes a special kind of person with a special kind of patience lol. Becoming a reading specialist is great! Many kids and students face reading insecurities as high up as high school! We need more people like you working in the education field. Heaven Smith
Ashlie, I feel like you and I have a lot of similarities. We both got our associate, took some time off and are now back at it. We both have boys who are both 6 and 4! Our thing we need to learn are similar also. My biggest fears are classroom management and time management. You did a phenomenal job on your page! I hope we are able to get grouped together at some point. ~ Chloe Beamer
Hi Ashlie! I wanted to be a doctor my whole life. I was pre med in college but I was working in Cyber Security with the Army. I left to be able to spend more time with my family and my kids. When I decided to go back to school, I started thinking about all the time I would miss if I fulfilled my goal of being a doctor. Suddenly, becoming a doctor didn't see like such a great goal. My kids are everything to me. So, I decided to get in with the school temporarily until I figured a new goal out. Little did I know that I would fall in love with teaching. I never saw teaching in my future but now I can't imagine anything else. So here I am, 36, obtaining my degree in elementary education. The point is.. I understand doing one thing and your heart leading you to something else. Obviously teaching is where you are meant to be! - Arlissa Gallant
Hi Ashlie! Your About the Author page is amazing. The template, pictures/videos, and amount of effort you put into this makes it magnificent and so appealing to look at. Under the "What I Know" category, I completely agree with you when you said how it takes a special person to teach because of patience and adaptability. Those are two things that I know as well, but need to work on more before becoming an elementary school teacher. Overall, you did an amazing job!- Carson Frazier
