Background

We may receive inquiries about running orienteering programs at birthday parties. If there is enough information included in the inquiry, the first step is to confirm if there are staff available to run the birthday party. From there, send one of the responses below.

Thanks for the inquiry about a birthday party - we're excited you're interested in doing orienteering at the celebration!

Unfortunately, we do not have staff available on [date] to be able to run an orienteering activity at the birthday party. However, we do offer a kit full of activities that you would run. Given you're in Cambridge, we could drop the kit off with you and then schedule a virtual call, or you could come and meet us at our office in Henry Street to pick up the kit and we could talk you through the activities. The activities are engaging and fun and can be adjusted for all age groups / group sizes.

There are 2 options:

1.) Buying a kit full of activities that you would run. Given you're in Cambridge, we could drop the kit off with you and then schedule a virtual call, or you could come and meet us at our office in Henry Street to pick up the kit and we could talk you through the activities. The activities are engaging and fun and can be adjusted for all age groups / group sizes.

2.) Employing us to run the birthday party. We would set up activities in a local outdoor area (park or school grounds). We would bring electronic timing equipment, which children love, and run a variety of activities for you, which would be age appropriate. We are checking whether we have staff available for [date]. The exact cost will depend on the number of kids, the location of the party, the length of the activity. How many kids do you anticipate? Which parks are you most interested in? How long do you want the activity to last? What time were you thinking for the activity?

We request that there is appropriate supervision of children so that our staff can focus on running the activity and not behavior management of the group. If you are interested in learning more, please let me know and we can schedule a call to discuss.
