Workers Compensation insurance is required, and we have it, through Gusto. Here is the folder in the google drive with information.
Policy period: 12/31/xx - 12/31/xx
Policy is automatically renewed every year. Premium is paid automatically. If payroll is not run one month, the policy will be cancelled.
Unemployment Insurance is through the state of Massachusetts. Our Employer DUA ID # is 22062572.
General liability and secondary medical insurance via Orienteering USA.
See this folder for additional information on the GL and 2dary medical insurance. Included is a memo and deck with an overview of the policy. Also, a description about what the Hired and Non-Owned Auto Liability Insurance covers. For more information, check the OUSA website which also has contact details for questions.
There is more information here about how to get a Certificate of Insurance naming the landowner as additional insured, which is often needed to get permission to hold an event on a property. We should investigate getting our own general liability insurance, and only paying OUSA for the traditional public orienteering events.
Here is the folder and a link to the instructions for calculating OUSA charter fees based on starts, for future reference.
Directors & Officers insurance. We purchased this for the first time in 2020, at the Board's recommendation. We got this from the following agent: Patricia A Elliott, Select Sales Executive III, 233 West Central Street, Natick MA 01760. Office: 508.620.3446 | Direct Fax: 508-651-4746 | Mobile: 617-429-0879 pelliott@easterninsurance.com. Note: as of Nov 2021, this insurance has lapsed and we need to renew it.
We want to get rented and non-owned auto insurance, but typically that is tacked onto a GL policy, and we can't add it to our OUSA GL policy. We are not currently (2021) driving kids around, so this is less of a concern.
QSEHRA is our employee health insurance. This will end after 2021, and the Board needs to decide what to do for 2022.
