This is a link to examples of Navigation Games programs; it can be useful for telling potential clients what we do.
Procedure for arranging a program with a client:
Schedule a virtual call with the client
Set up a folder in the program folder with the date of the programming (YYYY MM) and client name
Set up a Doc file for the initial conversation with any notes e.g. information from outreach / prior conversations / prior programming etc.
Meet with the client and document the conversation:
Understand the population, program goals / needs, constraints (time & space).
Discuss program ideas and agree on program details
Compile budget considering activity cost (planning time, cost of travel / delivery, # of staff, material production and other expenses associated with programming) - See budget template (being developed, use the most recent program budget spreadsheet)
OUSA Map Estimate: When you recommend that a map should be made, you can get an approx. cost by:
Use Google Maps to identify the area
Click on the corner of the area to be measured
Right click and select "Measure distance"
Outline the area to be mapped, by clicking on each corner around the perimeter
Add the area into the following cost equation: # square km * map factor + 300
where map factor = $1,000 for parks or $2,000 for woods.
e.g. If area is 51,371.99 sq meters and the land is 50% wood and 50% open => Map cost = .05 * 1500 + 300 = $375
Compile proposal, outlining the activity, cost and other pertinent information (permitting, insurance etc.) - See proposal template (clean up and save).
Review budget and proposal internally, incorporate feedback and finalize
Send to client via email. Follow up with client after 3 days via phone, if no response
Once the program has been agreed, refer to the Program Management section.
