▢ Source Party Supplies
Towels: Make sure you have plenty of soft and fluffy beach towels for the furry residents to use during the event. Spread them out in a few shaded areas near the pool, so dogs can dry off and relax if they need a break from playing. Give them away to residents and pups at the end of the party!
Toys: Purchase some pet-friendly floating pool toys from your local pet store or search online for “floating pool toys for dogs”. Water-retrievable toys include plastic floating balls, bones, rings, and more!
Pet ramp: Consider a pet ramp for the smaller dogs if the pool stairs are hard to climb.
Water bowls: Place plenty of bowls around the pool areas with fresh drinking water. The pool water is unsafe for dogs to drink due to the chlorine.
Doggie bags: Make sure to have plenty of doggie bags around.
▢ Source Food & Drink
Purchase snacks and drinks for the dog parents. Lemonade, ice cream, and cookies work well. Or order some pizzas from your favorite local pizza place.
Optional: Order an assortment of dog treats for the furry residents to enjoy a snack as well.
Optional: Order beer, wine, and other drinks through a delivery service like Uber Eats or source them through the local beverage store. Estimate 2 alcoholic drinks per attendee and ensure you have non-alcoholic options available as well.
Make sure you have plenty of water available for the dog parents!
