▢ Source Drinks:
Order drinks through a delivery service like Uber Eats or source them through the local beverage store. Estimate 2 alcoholic drinks per attendee and ensure you have non-alcoholic options available as well.
▢ Tournament Setup:
The tournament can be held with fully randomized teams or with pre-partnered teams. Randomized teams can be a great way to encourage residents to meet new neighbors. To run a randomized tournament:
Instruct residents that want to participate to write their names on a small piece of paper and place it in a container you provide.
Once everyone has input their name that wants to play you will pick out two slips of paper at a time and announce the teams to the crowd and write them on the scoreboard (sample 8 team bracket).
Announce the rules to the tournament before the first games begin. Official rules can be found here but you can also decide to amend the rules if you want games to go faster (e.g., first team to 15 points instead of 21 points).
Get the first four teams set up on the cornhole board and run the full first round of games before starting on the second round of winners facing off.
The last team standing wins the tournament!
▢ Set Up the Event:
Set up a table exclusively for drinks. Offer a simple variety of drinks (soft drinks, water, beer, and wine) in icy tubs.
Ensure you have multiple trash and recycling receptacles available throughout the common space.
Set up a bluetooth speaker to play an existing playlist or have residents contribute to a shared playlist on a service like Spotify.
