• Ensure you have plenty of glasses, plates, silverware, and napkins available. 

• Confer with the bartender (see below) on ingredients and supplies needed for the drinks they recommend (see below for a list of drinks). Ask about:

  • Green food coloring

• Source a bartender locally or online, for example  at Thumbtack, who is experienced in mixing all or some of the following drinks. Agree on 5-6 of the below drinks:

  • St. Patrick’s Day Green Dublin Cocktail

▢ Source Food & Drink:

• Confer with the bartender and order recommended liquor and ingredients through a delivery service like Uber Eats or source them through the local beverage store. Estimate 2 alcoholic drinks per attendee and ensure you have non-alcoholic options available as well. 

• Optional: Find a caterer or food truck for this event, for example by using a site like ezCater. Or simply order from sites such as Grubhub. Try to pick a vendor who offers:

  • Reuben Sandwiches

  • Irish Soda Scones

  • Irish Sausage Roll  

  • Boxty (Irish Potato Pancake)

  • Irish Potato Bites

▢ Set Up the Event:

• Choose a space that is appropriate for the event with plenty of space for mingling while standing or seated.

• Set up a space for the bartender. 

• If the food is catered, present the food on a separate, long table.   

• Place utensils and plates on a separate table.

• Set up tables and chairs for the guests and decorate the tables.  

• Set up a bluetooth speaker to play an existing St. Patrick’s Day playlist or have residents contribute to a shared playlist on a service like Spotify. 

• Ensure you have multiple trash and recycling receptacles available throughout the common space.
