▢ Source Supplies: 

• Tasting cups (multiple colors)

• Pens

• Index cards or electronic forms (sample) for voting

▢ Source Drinks:

• Order the local beers through a delivery service like Uber Eats or source them through local breweries. 

▢ Battle of the Brews Setup:

• Select 3-4 local breweries to include in your beer tasting. 

• Select 1-2 styles of beer available at each brewery (e.g., IPA and Pilsner)

• Pour 3-5oz of each beer into a different color cup out of eyesight of the residents. Make note of which beer is in which color cup so the tasting remains blind. 

• Give out a set of four different color cups/beers to each resident for the blind tasting.

• Have index cards available for ranked choice voting or link electronic voting forms on the Cobu app for easier scoring. 

• Tally up the votes to declare the preferred local beer! 

  • Option: The blind tasting can be done separately for each style of beer and the top choices can go head to head for an ultimate winner. 

  • Option: The winning beer can be posted on the Cobu app and served at the next resident event. 

▢ Set Up the Event:

• Set up a bar area where you can inconspicuously pour the beers and distribute the tasting cups. 

• Ensure you have multiple trash and recycling receptacles available throughout the common space. 

• Set up a bluetooth speaker to play an existing playlist or have residents contribute to a shared playlist on a service like Spotify.
