• Purchase caramel apple kits locally or online, for example at Daffy Apple. 

• Consider purchasing clear plastic bags so residents can take their creations to go! 

• Purchase small to medium bulk apples at your local grocery store. 

• Order beer, wine, and other drinks through a delivery service like Uber Eats or source them through the local beverage store. Estimate 2 alcoholic drinks per attendee and ensure you have non-alcoholic options available as well. 

▢ Set Up the Event

• Set up a long table & tablecloth for caramel apple creation in your common area of choice. Ensure a flow so residents first grab a bowl & napkin, an apple & a stick, and then dip and add toppings from different bowls. Add a spoon to each topping bowl so residents can add to their apple without dunking. 

• Protip: In addition to providing a lot of napkins & paper towels for residents, source a number of moist towelette packets as well considering caramel apples can be sticky business! 

• Set up a table exclusively for drinks. Offer a simple variety of drinks (soft drinks, water, beer, and wine). 

• Ensure you have multiple trash and recycling receptacles available throughout the common space.
