▢ Source a Movie Screening Vendor

• Search on the internet for a local movie screen rental service. Sites like Fun Flicks, Premium Outdoor Movies, and Stargaze Movies will help you source an outdoor screening package in your area and budget range.

• Get a quote from your preferred vendor based on the ideal date, movie location size, and estimated number of attendees. 

• Keep in mind you will want to start the movie at or after the time of sunset. 

▢ Choose a Movie

• Select a set of 3-5 possible movies for residents to enjoy based on time of year or personality of your community. 

• Coordinate with your Virtual Community Manager to run a Cobu Poll to find out which movie residents prefer. Close the survey with enough time for you to rent or purchase the winning movie in the appropriate format before the event. 

▢ Set Up the Event

• The vendor will set up their screen, projector, and speakers in the requested area. Be sure to provide the vendor with easy access to electrical outlets for their supplies. 

• Set up chairs for residents to view the movie and/or clear out space so residents can set up their own chairs & blankets for viewing. 

• Set up a movie concession stand with some movie staples like popcorn, soda, boxes of candy, etc.
