▢ Source Supplies:
1 to 2 waffle irons - purchase locally or online.
Ensure you have plenty of plates, napkins, silverware, and champagne flutes available.
Purchase disposable cups for the waffle batter locally or online.
Optional: Purchase seasonal table decorations locally or online.
▢ Source Food & Drink:
Purchase waffle mix locally or online (see packaging for number of servings)
Tip: Purchase ready made pourable pancake mix and add a teaspoon of vegetable oil to the mix
Consider purchasing gluten free waffle mix as well
Purchase orange juice locally or online
Source champagne through the local beverage store or online retailers such as Uber Eats. You can use less expensive champagne, such as Cava or Prosecco.
Purchase two 2-liter bottles of ginger ale for non-alcoholic mimosas.
Optional: Purchase pineapple and/or cranberry juice, so residents can add a splash to their mimosas.
Purchase a variety of toppings, for example:
Strawberries and/or blueberries
Chocolate chips
Variety of syrups
Whipped cream
Nuts & Seeds
Nutella
▢ Set Up the Event:
Select the appropriate space for the event where residents can sit down with their food and also mingle easily.
Fill the individual cups with enough batter to make a single waffle.
If possible, place the waffle irons on a separate table along with the waffle mix in the cups.
Place plates, silverware, flutes, napkins, toppings on a separate table.
Optional: Decorate the tables for residents with your favorite decorations for the season.
Set up a bluetooth speaker with music.
Ensure you have multiple trash and recycling receptacles available throughout the common space.
