Course overview - C9 GCSE
In theory lessons (2 per fortnight) learners will complete an introduction to the PE analysis of performance coursework. And prepare for an end of year assessment.
In practical lessons (2 per fortnight) learners will cover Athletics and Cricket. Learners will be developing more advanced techniques and focus on strategies to win when playing games or strategies to develop speed and power.

One practical skills and gameplay/performance assessment per half term.
A theory coursework assignment and an end of year exam.
Guidance:
Learners will receive, mainly, verbal guidance throughout each practical session linked to the practical performance criteria. They will also receive a mark out of 35 for their practical sport per half term.
For theory lessons a written assignment and an end of year exam will be marked, graded and WWW/EBI given for each.
