Course overview - Study Period 5 and 6
During the fifth study period - Would you like to study abroad?
Learners will build on what they have learned in Cohort 7 in SP4. In this study period they will develop a much deeper understanding of the German school system, the differences between the English and German school systems and be able to express their opinions in detail about all aspects of school life.
During the sixth study period - How do you excel in languages?
This study period will give learners the opportunity to consolidate their learning across C9 and ensure a secure understanding of the main tenses in German. In addition, the study period will look at the demands of the speaking exam for GCSE German. Learners will have the opportunity to practice their speaking skills in German including practicing the elements of the speaking exam such as describing a photo, a role play and general conversation skills.

Written Assessment to be marked formally and written feedback provided
Reading & listening assessment
Guidance:
Learners will receive guidance in a variety of ways. These include marked assessments, including feedback in books, 1:1 interaction, vocabulary tests, self & peer assessments of inc class tasks .
