Course overview - Study Period 1 and 2
C9 will begin their foundation course skills this term. During the first half term (study period1) C9 learners will be studying Printmaking Food: a unit which allows learners to develop and experiment with different printing methods. This includes monoprint, polyblocks, stencils and bluffer print. They will then move on to surrealism and study perspective drawing.
The second half term will see C9 studying 3D natural forms. They will be studying artists of their choice and then experiment with a range of materials/methods that are used to create 3D models. This will help them with their term 3 topic ‘fish, boat, water’ and the rest of their GCSE projects.
