Course overview - Term 5
In this scheme of work learners will explore scripts. Learners will research the script given to their group. Once they have done this they will look at component 2 and will choose a 10 minute extract to focus on. In groups of around 3, they will then learn their lines and direct the scene, they will focus on their Artistic Intention for the performance. They will perform the scene to an audience, receiving live audience feedback based on the assessment criteria. Learners will fill in an artistic intentions form which will be looked at by the teacher before and after their recorded performance.

Course overview - Term 6
After watching a live streamed theatre performance learners will learn to analyse and evaluate the many different elements such as costume, movement and set. They will learn to offer their own opinions as an audience member.
We then explore the Genre of Theatre in Education, looking at a stimulus using techniques from Theatre in Education.
After this learners will embark on a community theatre project, looking at how the theatre can develop and enhance a community feel, offer educational performances and help to shape the actor as well as audiences morals.
