Course overview
This term is dedicated to Changing Climate 2.1. We will be studying the key concept of how and why our climate is changing over time and the impacts of this change. The two key questions are; What evidence is there to suggest climate change is a natural process? and Why is climate change a global issue?
There are NO case studies for this unit but learners will find out about real life impacts and ramifications of climate change in various locations in the UK and globally.
This topic will also include the opportunity for some group work and a presentation ahead of a debate about whether our changing climate truly is humanity’s greatest challenge.

Assessment Points:
A summative assessment will take place at the end of the unit. Throughout the unit learners will also experience Progress Checks- short assessments to check progress, key pieces of work will be marked and feedback provided as well as spelling and definition assessments. Guidance:
Learners will receive guidance in a variety of ways. These include marked assessments, reports, whole class and individual feedback and Closing the Gap activities.
