Course overview - Study Period 1 and 2 - Me and my instrument
This study period is where learners learn more about themselves as a musician as they start their GCSE studies. We will explore musical elements in a wide range of styles and genres so that learners will develop the skills to become more confident and able in performance, composition and analysing music.

A summative practical performance at the end of the unit.
A formative and summative assessment of vocabulary and knowledge.
Guidance:
Learners will receive guidance in a variety of ways. These include marked assessments, reports, feedback in books, 1:1 interaction, Google Classroom.
