Course overview - Study Period 5 and 6
During the fifth study period - What can I do?
Learners have now learnt to compile sentences with descriptions so they can use this in the next topic area when they express their hobbies and interests. They will use this to express whether they like it and why. They will learn new verbs and to conjugate these with the correct tense verb endings. In the context of sport, they will learn how to voice preference with justifications.
During the sixth study period - What kind of Tourist are you?
Learners will look at travel before and learn the names of countries and languages. They will investigate the landscape and landmarks of a Spanish-speaking country and learn some key phrases to describe places. In this study period, they will delve deeper into the language around describing holiday experiences using a range of tenses, expressions, time phrases, adverbs, if clauses, opinions and an enriched vocabulary range.

Written Assessment to be marked formally and written feedback provided
A reading & listening assessment
Guidance:
Learners will receive guidance in a variety of ways. These include marked assessments, including feedback in books, 1:1 interaction, vocabulary tests, self & peer assessments of inc class tasks
