Course overview - Study Period 1 and 2
During the first half term - learners will be introduced to the rights of individuals accessing health and social care services. They will be introduced to how each of these individual rights can be maintained and what this really looks like in healthcare today. Learners will also explore the importance of ensuring individual rights are met and the impact on an individual if this is not the case.
During the second study period - learners will explore dementia and how this impacts on an individual and those around them. They will investigate support available for people with dementia and how health professionals can meet their individual needs through the personalised care that they provide.

Half term two - summative assessment including application of knowledge to given case study
