Course overview - Study Period 1
During the first study period: Learners will explore British culture, considering what it means to be British, and being reminded of the core British values. They will learn some of the history of the British Empire, and consider ways in which British culture reflects Christian beliefs, ideas and values. They will learn about the British political system, and how British politics relates to the wider political spectrum. They will study the Rule of Law: what it means, how it began, why it is important, and how it relates to British citizens.
