Course overview - Study Period 3 and 4
During the third study period - In this study period learners are introduced to the world of Film and TV. They are given the opportunity to explore their opinions on a range of types of TV programmes and films. Learners watch the first of three German films in the course and develop the skills needed to discuss the themes and characters in the target language. Learners work towards writing a report of a film and an account of a cinema trip and are expected to use not only the new vocabulary and structures from the topic but to re-use material and recognise that they can transfer key grammar and vocabulary across topics.
During the fourth study period - In this study period are introduced to the world of technology and social media. Learners will explore and learn a range of vocabulary to describe the use of technology and social media. In addition, learners will discuss the advantages and dangers of technology and social media in the target languages. Again, learners will transfer key grammar including opinions from previous topics to help express their views on the world of technology and social media today.

Guidance:
Learners will receive guidance in a variety of ways. These include marked assessments, including feedback in books, 1:1 interaction, vocabulary tests, self & peer assessments of inc class tasks .
