Course overview - Study Period 2
In this second phase of the BTEC we will begin to develop material for the Dance show. This will be based on the stylistic qualities of Wayne McGregor's Infra, a fusion of Ballet and Contemporary. The dancers will be pushing their physical abilities to the maximum, which is something Mcgregor promotes in his own choreographic process.

Assessment Points:
A summative practical performance at the end of the unit. Component 2 grid used for this practical performance.
A formative and summative assessment using a 6 mark question based on Wayne McGregor and his dance work Infra.

This phase will work alongside phase 3, dancers will use their developing choreographic knowledge to create smaller group performances. They will focus on choreographic devices and process, considering Physical, Technical and Expressive skills.
