A-Teachers

Passion - Excellence - Ethics

Class Teachers play an important role in nurturing students' social-emotional development. They act as a bridge to facilitate home-school collaboration and are the key to students' success in life and learning. Not only they are facilitators, mentors, and mediators, more importantly, they are also role models for children’s positive growth. By initiating development to their growth of mind set, students are learning to appreciate, to trust and to praise themselves and others. Class teachers are like children’s parents at school. We aim to establish a loving, caring atmosphere and a safe, appreciating platform for our students to fly, to move forward, and to shine. Class teachers will take you through an amazing journey this year.

Children, are you ready to meet your class teachers?

"So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love." - 1 Corinthians 13:13

Ms. Jackie Chong

Senior Vice Principal (Head of Primary Division)

The smiles from the students never fail to warm my heart and are the fuel that drives me to continue on my teaching path.

The students in A-School are incredibly loved as our teaching staff strive to provide the best to them, academically and emotionally.

This A-Moment site is the concerted effort by our professional team of teachers. I hope it can serve as an informative platform for parents and students to connect to all things A-School.

"Train up a child in the way he should go, and even when is old he will not depart from it." - Proverbs 22:6

Mr. Kelvin Lee
Assistant Principal (Academic Affairs)

Speak good words

Think good thoughts

Do good deeds

Be good to others

We learn to use our eyes for appreciation, our voice for kindness, our ears for compassion, our hands for charity, our mind for truth, and our heart for love. May kindness makes us a beautiful person and together, we make A-School a loving place.

A-School will be the reason we smile every day…^^

Mrs. Winnie Pradhan
Chief Curriculum Officer and
English Panel Head

Greetings! I'm Mrs. Pradhan and I'm absolutely ecstatic to be teaching what promises to be yet another glorious year at A-school. Yet another year of wonderful discussions, exciting learning and my favourite activity - reading awaits us. I'm blessed to be in a school filled with the laughter of confident, happy children, and to be surrounded by like-minded teachers who always put students' well-being above all.

My favourite quote is by philosophist Alvin Toffler - 'The illiterates of the 21st century are not the ones who cannot read or write. They are the ones who cannot learn, unlearn and relearn'.

Welcome back! I'm Ms Cho, let me give you an invisible gift and you can have it everyday. Let's spend a moment to think about those who have helped and loved you become who you are today, remember how important they are to you. (Please give yourself one minute silent to think about them. But I know you want to read the last paragraph ^u^ )

At this moment, my heart dances with joy because I think of you, you and you. Distance does not matter when we are grateful to have each other. Let's "Flourish from me to WE" together in A-school!

Hi everyone, I'm Miss Yiu! Teaching English and maintaining discipline are my main roles in A-School.

How was your summer holidays? I hope you had a blast even though travelling overseas was out of the picture! I've picked up pilates during the summer and have challenged myself to exercise every single morning. My progress has been pretty good so far!

Soon, I'll be stepping into my 12th year in A-School. What an awesome ride it has been! I'm looking forward to seeing all of you and I'll be welcoming you with a big smile!

My beloved students, remember to always maintain an appetite of having a thirst for knowledge and a hunger for developing a growth mindset!

Miss Cecilia Yiu
Head of Student Management & Support

Hi everyone, this is Miss Wu. I teach Mathematics. I like playing games with my students and I'm into puzzles and riddles. Let's learn and enjoy learning together.

The year 2020 is special because that is the only year you are likely to live through wherein the first two digits will match the second two digits. The next year that follows this pattern is 2121. A person alive now would have to be at least 101 to see that year.

Here I have three riddles for you.

1. I am an odd number. Take away a letter and I become even. What number am I?

2. What occurs twice in a week, once in a year but never in a day?

3. Can you arrange four nines to make it equal to 100?

Enjoy! You are welcome to email your answers to me.

Miss Debbi Wu

(Miss KK Lee)

Hello boys and girls. Welcome back to the A-School family.

How’s your Summer break? I hope you all took a good rest and enjoyed some quality time with your family. 2020 is certainly a special year for all of us, and there are more new challenges ahead.

It is a blessing to work in A-school. There are so many amazing people to work with. And of course, we can see all the lovely, enthusiastic and confident students. It has been quite a while and I’m looking forward to seeing all of you.

Hi there! I am Ms. Kitty^^ I am a Visual Arts teacher and I will be taking care of students’ different learning needs in A-School this year^^

I know that you all want to meet the teachers and classmates so badly. But because of the pandemic, we still have some more time to do our learning via Zoom. I just want to say that I really appreciate all of your passion in learning, where I can see you attending lessons on time and preparing all the study materials, also when you share your ideas enthusiastically with me, and showing patience in waiting on me to give you feedback one by one. Your self-discipline make me so proud of you!

I am looking forward to getting to know you in the coming lessons. I am sure that we will have many wonderful experiences and opportunities to learn and grow in the days ahead! Wish you all a fruitful learning year^^

Coordinator of SEN

Hi, this is William Luk from the STEAM team of A School. How's your holiday?

I participated as a judge in an international App Hackathon competition this summer. The theme of the event is "A Global Appathon for Good." The event encourages young kids to create an app that will empower their fellow citizens in their community and give the world a hopeful vision of a better tomorrow.

I tried their mobile apps and watched the presentations of these young innovators from all over the world. Their wide range of concerns is Climate Change, Poverty, Health Care, Learning and Working Remotely, Social Impacts of Artificial Intelligence. I was deeply impressed by their concerns and efforts. They really aware and care about their community.

All these seem far away from you, but actually, they are around you every day. I expect every one of us to be Global Citizens start from this school year.
