One of the parts of the capital bond project that students have most been looking forward to has been opened. On April 3rd, 2024 the new gym opened. This new “small” gym will be taking the place of what is now the cafeteria. A newly constructed purpose-built gym is now in daily use and the old “small” gym is a full-time cafeteria. Modern wainscoting and paint have been added to the cafeteria, making it feel truly transformed.

This year, Greenport's spring musical is going to be High School Musical On Stage! The show is on April 5th and 6th. Our audience only sees the finished polished product but there is so much more than that. So much happens in the many months leading up to the show that the audience never gets to see ahead of time; all of the moving parts, from choreography, to stage crew, to our ensemble. The play has so many layers that the regular person might not see. So this article is going to take a deep dive into what actually goes into the production of our high school play; this is a dive behind the curtains.

Very recently, on the 7th of March 2024, devastation and tragedy struck the hearts of millions when news broke out of the passing of Japanese manga author Akira Toriyama. Toriyama was famous for his stunning artwork, engaging storytelling, and loveable characters. He was most well known for his greatest works, Dr. Slump and the massively worldwide iconic series Dragon Ball.
