As a class go through the Comprehension Strategies Cloze Activity
choose good fit books to borrow
return books correctly
read quietly whilst waiting to return to class
Read a story with the class and discuss the text features.
Students explore the library and use their good fit book skills to find a quiet reading book.
Students will choose one book to borrow at the end of the session.
Teacher to scan books out for students to borrow and may like to choose a selection of books for the classroom in this time too.
Teacher to guide students through the processes for shelving books at the end of a session.
