As we prepare for a new month, we invite our CSM Family to join us for Chapel this Monday as we begin reflecting on our next Core Value: Integrity. Integrity means doing what is right, honest, and responsible, even when no one is watching. Throughout October, we will encourage our students to practice integrity in their words, choices, relationships, and responsibilities. As we begin this focus together, we are reminded that “Whoever walks in integrity walks securely.” — Proverbs 10:9. We look forward to seeing our students live out this value each day and grow in character and faith.

New Information

Out of Uniform | Pastel vs. Neon Day Thursday, October 8

Students who pay $1 can participate in this fundraiser for High School Girls Volleyball. Participants can wear a pastel or neon shirt with their CSM-compliant pants/skirt and shoes.

Merit Madness Wednesday, October 7

Students who have earned a "Merit Madness" t-shirt during the '26-'27 school year are permitted to wear their '26-'27 Merit Madness t-shirt with their uniform-compliant pants/skirt and shoes.

First Quarter Ending October 9

CSM Families,

The first quarter of the school year ends on Friday, October 9. As the quarter comes to a close, we want to remind families that we will send report cards soon. Now is a great time for students to review their grades, complete any missing assignments, and communicate with their teachers about any questions or concerns. Please take a few minutes to check your student’s current progress and encourage them to finish the quarter strong.

Thank you for your continued partnership and support as we close out the first quarter of the school year.

Reminders

Rooted to Grow (R2G): September

Families - you are invited to engage with the same Bible verses your student will engage with for the month of September. Here is September's Monthly Guide (click here for the Spanish version) for you and your family to engage with R2G at home, together. The anchor phrase for the month, All for the Lord, comes from the verses Psalm 118:24 and Colossians 1:16.

Here are some examples of how this may look:

Read the verse together and take turns reciting it
Use one dialogue question as a dinner table conversation starter
Pray a monthly prayer before bed or in the morning
Write the verse somewhere visible, like on the fridge, a mirror, or a whiteboard
Ask your student what they are learning about the verse in class

There is no pressure to do it perfectly or to be a professional. Every conversation, every recitation, every prayer is an investment in your child’s faith formation and your family’s life together.

CSM Yard Sale on Saturday, November 14, 2026!

Collegiate is hosting its very first Yard Sale on Saturday, November 14, 2026! This fundraising event is open to the public, and we would love to invite you to become a vendor! Whether you have clothing, household items, or other goods to sell, or you own a small business you'd like to promote, this is a great opportunity to sell, connect with the community, and promote your business! You keep 100% of your profits! Your vendor fee will support our Athletics Department.

Policy Highlight | Honor Code & Honor Council

In order to establish an environment of trust, nobility, and honor at Collegiate, the Honor Code stresses individual and corporate integrity. This code stands as an affirmation of values and therefore facilitates the transition from our Collegiate community to the world at large.

The Collegiate School of Memphis Honor Council is charged with upholding the virtues of the school’s Honor Code. Honor Council members are elected by their peers in an election at the beginning of each school year. In the event of serious or repeated violations, having proved an unwillingness to participate in the school’s culture of honesty and trust, a student may face expulsion from The Collegiate School of Memphis. The Honor Code and Honor Council represent the high moral expectations of Collegiate and seek to be a positive influence

toward building a community of trust.

See the appendix for the Collegiate Code of Conduct with additional information regarding expectations, negative behaviors, merits and demerits, unacceptable behavior, the Honor Code, and the Honor Council.

The Honor Code statement, “I have neither given nor received aid on this academic effort,” may be written on any given assignment followed by the student’s signature. The student signature declares that they have upheld the honor code for that work.

2026-2027 School Calendar

As you are considering traveling out of town and making appointments during the 2026-2027 school year, please plan around our school calendar. Students should not miss school for appointments and travel. Absences during first- and second-semester exam weeks will not be excused.

Please note that the dates for Spring Break 2027 have been updated on the Academic Calendar to match M-SCS. Spring Break 2027 is March 15-19, 2026.
