Family Event | Soul Fest Thursday, February 19 | 5:00 – 6:30 pm
CSM Families, join us for Soul Fest on Thursday, February 19, from 5:00–6:30 PM! Soul Fest is a special time for our community to celebrate and learn about African American culture, enjoy delicious food, and connect with one another. It’s a fun and meaningful evening for students, parents, and staff to come together in fellowship and appreciation of our diverse community.

Out of Uniform | Black History & Culture Thursday, February 19
Participants can wear a Black History Month-themed shirt with their CSM uniform-compliant pants or skirt and shoes. There is no cost to participate.
Summer Programs

We are excited to announce that our Summer Programs site is now live! You can find it on the CSM webpage under the Parents and Scholars tab.
This resource features summer opportunities tailored for every age group. Many applications open in January and early February, so we encourage you to start exploring these options now to find the best fit for your scholar.
Field Trip | Arkansas State University (10th Grade) Monday, February 23
Attention 10th grade families and scholars! Our 10th graders will be going on a field trip to Arkansas State University on Monday, February 23. This will be a great opportunity for students to explore a college campus and learn more about future academic opportunities. More details and reminders will be shared as the date approaches. We’re looking forward to a great trip!
Policy Highlight | Student Support Policy
The success of every CSM scholar is of utmost priority to the faculty and staff at Collegiate. To assist all students with their overall success at Collegiate, there are several members of our team who are available to assist and support students and their families. For example: Dean of Students, Dean of Student Achievement, Multilingual Learner Coordinator, and School Counselor. The academic, behavioral, and emotional success of all scholars is very important to us. Our Student Support and Accommodations Statement is available by request from our Dean of Student Achievement.
ESA 26-27 Applications | Open Now!
The Education Savings Account Scholarship (ESA) applicationis now Open. All Families at CSM are required to apply for the state scholarship before they are eligible to apply for the CSM scholarship. It is crucial that you apply online as soon as soon as possible. Below are the required documents that you will need in order to complete the ESA application through the state portal as well as a flyer with the images of the type of documents needed.We will host an ESA application assistance session on February 7th, from 9 am - 12 pm here at The Collegiate School of Memphis. Feel free to come join us for assistance applying. If you plan on attending you must bring all required documents with you in order to complete the application in a timely manner. Please remember that this is a mandatory application and you must apply as soon as the portal opens.

No School | President's Day Holiday Monday, February 16
There will be no school on Monday, February 16, in observance of President’s Day. Classes will resume on Tuesday, February 17. We hope our students and families enjoy a safe and restful holiday!
We Love CSM Spirit Day Wednesday, February 18
Student may wear any CSM-issued shirt or sweatshirt from any year in lieu of their CSM uniform shirt with their uniform-compliant pants/skirt and shoes.
Federal & State Public Safety Officials
We want to acknowledge the multi-agency initiative currently taking place in the Memphis community involving members of the National Guard, Highway Patrol Officers, and agents from multiple federal agencies. We understand that the presence of additional law enforcement agents in our city may feel unsettling for families.
The City of Memphis has created a webpage with information about the goals of this federal action, as well as guidance for families. In addition, Latino Memphis has resources on their website with suggestions on what to do if approached by a federal agent.
At Collegiate, our highest priority remains the safety and well-being of our students. As stated in our Family Handbook: “As an independent school, our entire campus is private property. Government agents and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers do not have access to our campus or our students while they are on our campus without a proper federal judicial warrant.” (Family Handbook, p. 21). Additional information about Collegiate’s Student Safety and Privacy Policy is available upon request in the Business Office.
We also recognize that events in the wider community can create feelings of worry or stress. Our School Counselor, Ms. Tate, is available to provide support for students who may need someone to talk to. Families are encouraged to reach out to Ms. Tate at ttate@collegiatememphis.org if their child would benefit from additional care. Mr. Moya, CSM Family Engagement Specialist, is also available to support families as needed. Families can reach Mr. Moya at smoya@collegiatememphis.org.
2025-2026 School Calendar
As you are considering traveling out of town and making appointments during the 2024-2025 school year, please plan around our school calendar. It is important that students do not miss school for appointments and travel. Absences during first and second semester exam weeks will not be excused.
Please note the dates for Spring Break 2026 have been updated on the Academic Calendar to match M-SCS. Spring Break 2026 is March 16 - 20, 2026.
