Our CSM community has grown stronger as we’ve started this school year together. Now, it’s time to show that community through respect, in the way we speak, the way we listen, and the way we treat one another. Let’s keep building each other up and make CSM a place where everyone feels valued and encouraged. Let’s make September a month where respect is more than a word; it’s something we live out every day!

New Information

Rooted to Grow (R2G): September

Families - you are invited to engage with the same Bible verses your student will engage with for the month of September. Here is September's Monthly Guide (click here for the Spanish version) for you and your family to engage with R2G at home, together. The anchor phrase for the month, All for the Lord, comes from the verses Psalm 118:24 and Colossians 1:16.

Here are some examples of how this may look:

Read the verse together and take turns reciting it
Use one dialogue question as a dinner table conversation starter
Pray a monthly prayer before bed or in the morning
Write the verse somewhere visible, like on the fridge, a mirror, or a whiteboard
Ask your student what they are learning about the verse in class

There is no pressure to do it perfectly or to be a professional. Every conversation, every recitation, every prayer is an investment in your child’s faith formation and your family’s life together.

No School | Labor Day Holiday Monday, September 7

There will be no school on Monday, September 7 in observance of Labor Day. Enjoy the long weekend, and we’ll see everyone back at school on Tuesday!

Mid-Quarter Progress Grades Available Wednesday, September 9

At this halfway point in the quarter, parents, guardians, and students are encouraged to view student grades in their online gradebooks by visiting the link on the Parents or Scholars page of the Collegiate website. Teacher gradebooks are updated on a weekly basis, with the most up-to-date grades available every Tuesday morning.

Policy Highlight | Absences & Attendance

Middle School students with twenty (20) or more absences for the year in any given course/grade level may not be considered as successfully completing that course or grade. High School students with five (5) or more absences, on average, per semester from any single course may not be considered as successfully completing that course for credit. Violation of this policy will result in a student’s case being presented to the Student Retention Committee to determine whether a student is eligible for promotion and/or to attend Collegiate the following year.

It is important for families to understand not only the attendance requirements, but also which absences may be considered excused. Please review the complete attendance policy in the Family Handbook below for more information.

Our Co-Curriculars: Clubs + Athletics

Last year, we had roughly 83% of students involved in at least 1 club or sport at CSM. We hope for every student, 100%, involved in a club or sport. Students gain so much from getting involved (leadership, friendship, perseverance, joy...). Please encourage your student to attend our Club+Sports fair after school Friday, August 21 from 3:45-4:15p.

We invite our entire CSM Family to join us for a special time of worship, fellowship, and community as we come together to grow in our faith and encourage one another. Come worship with us, connect with our CSM family, and celebrate what makes our community special!

Out of Uniform | 901 Day Tue, Sept 1

Students who pay $1 can participate in this fundraiser for the 2027 SOS Field Trip. Participants can wear a 901 or Memphis shirt or sweatshirt with their CSM-compliant pants/skirt and shoes.

Merit Madness Wed, Sept 2

Students who have earned a "Merit Madness" t-shirt during the '26-'27 school year are permitted to wear their '26-'27 Merit Madness t-shirt with their uniform-compliant pants/skirt and shoes.You earned it—now it’s time to REP IT! Show off your Merit Madness shirt and celebrate your hard work while staying in uniform!

2026-2027 School Calendar

As you are considering traveling out of town and making appointments during the 2026-2027 school year, please plan around our school calendar. Students should not miss school for appointments and travel. Absences during first- and second-semester exam weeks will not be excused.

Please note that the dates for Spring Break 2027 have been updated on the Academic Calendar to match M-SCS. Spring Break 2027 is March 15-19, 2026.
