We hope you are enjoying a restful and joyful summer break. As summer continues, we wanted to share a few important updates and reminders regarding the ESA program, the Cougar Store, upcoming back-to-school information, and other school announcements. We are also currently seeking a Part-Time Night Porter to join our Collegiate team, so please help us spread the word to anyone who may be interested. Summer 26-27 Office Hours

CSM Families please note the following summer office schedule:

Summer Hours:

July 6 - July 23, 2026 (Open from 8am - 2pm)
July 27 - July 31, 2026 (Open from 8am - 3pm)

Employment Opportunity Available - Night Porter

Did you know that employees at Collegiate School of Memphis are eligible for 50% off their child's tuition? This is a great opportunity to join our school community while investing in your family's future.

We are currently seeking a Part-Time Night Porter to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our students and staff. The Night Porter works as part of our facilities team and is responsible for cleaning classrooms, restrooms, hallways, and other school spaces.

Qualifications:

Previous commercial cleaning experience preferred
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods
Strong attention to detail and reliability
Ability to work positively with students, families, faculty, and staff in a Christian school environment

Schedule:

Part-time position
Approximately 4 hours per day (hours to be determined)

26-27 ESA Application Process

The ESA 2026–2027 application process is not yet complete. There is one final step that must be completed: The Contract & Expense Limit Step.

This step will become available in July, and families will have less than 30 days to complete it. It is very important that these steps are submitted on time, as failure to complete the ESA process could impact your student's tuition for the 2026–2027 school year. The school will reopen on July 6. Beginning that day, families who need assistance completing the Contract & Expense Limit steps are welcome to come to the school for help.

CSM Cougar Store Reminder

Need uniforms for the upcoming school year? The CSM Cougar Store is here to help!

Summer Store Hours

Monday - Thursday

8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Please note that the Cougar Store will be closed June 19 through July 6. If you would like to shop in person before the closure, be sure to stop by during our regular summer hours.

Online ordering allows you to purchase uniforms and select in-store pickup. Please note that any orders placed while the store is closed (June 19 - July 6) will not be processed or available for pickup until July 6.

We encourage families to shop early to ensure their students are ready for the first day of school. Thank you for supporting the CSM Cougar Store!

Report Card & Hold Reminder

Report cards and hold notices were sent in the mail on Friday. If your family received a hold notice, the hold must be cleared before your student's report card can be released.

Families may:

• Visit the school tomorrow between 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. to clear the hold and pick up the report card.

• Make a payment online and we will mail the report card to you.

Please note that online payments require a minimum payment of $25. If your hold balance is less than $25, you may make a $25 payment, and any amount remaining after the hold is cleared will be applied to your tuition account.

The school will be closed from June 19 through July 6. If you are unable to visit us today or tomorrow, you may either make your payment online or wait until we return in July.

Summer Reading List 26-27

Summer Reading is here! Students should read as many books as possible this summer, log all books on their Summer Reading Log, and complete a graphic organizer for two books. All summer reading assignments are due to English teachers on the first day of school. Students who read 1,000 pages or more will be recognized with a Summer Reading pin and certificate in August! Uniform Donations Welcome

As you clean out closets for summer, we gladly accept gently used uniforms that no longer fit your student. These items are added to our Used Uniform Closet, which helps provide more affordable options for families in our community. Donations can be placed in the box outside Ms. Alvarado's door.

Federal & State Public Safety Officials

We want to acknowledge the multi-agency initiative currently taking place in the Memphis community involving members of the National Guard, Highway Patrol Officers, and agents from multiple federal agencies. We understand that the presence of additional law enforcement agents in our city may feel unsettling for families.

The City of Memphis has created a webpage with information about the goals of this federal action, as well as guidance for families. In addition, Latino Memphis has resources on their website with suggestions on what to do if approached by a federal agent.

At Collegiate, our highest priority remains the safety and well-being of our students. As stated in our Family Handbook: “As an independent school, our entire campus is private property. Government agents and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers do not have access to our campus or our students while they are on our campus without a proper federal judicial warrant.” (Family Handbook, p. 21). Additional information about Collegiate’s Student Safety and Privacy Policy is available upon request in the Business Office.

We also recognize that events in the wider community can create feelings of worry or stress. Our School Counselor, Ms. Tate, is available to provide support for students who may need someone to talk to. Families are encouraged to reach out to Ms. Tate at ttate@collegiatememphis.org if their child would benefit from additional care. Mr. Moya, CSM Family Engagement Specialist, is also available to support families as needed. Families can reach Mr. Moya at smoya@collegiatememphis.org.

2026-2027 School Calendar

As you are considering traveling out of town and making appointments during the 2026-2027 school year, please plan around our school calendar. It is important that students do not miss school for appointments and travel. Absences during first and second semester exam weeks will not be excused.

Please note the dates for Spring Break 2027 have been updated on the Academic Calendar to match M-SCS. Spring Break 2027 is March 15 - 19, 2026.
