CSM Family, What a wonderful evening at our Taste of Latin America! We hope you had a great time enjoying the food, performances, games, and, most importantly, celebrating the many cultures that make our CSM community special. Thank you to everyone who helped make the evening possible. We hope you felt welcomed, celebrated, and reminded of the joy that comes from being together as a community. As Scripture reminds us, “How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!” — Psalm 133:1 Thank you, CSM Family, for making this celebration such a special one!

Policy Highlight | Honor Code & Honor Council

In order to establish an environment of trust, nobility, and honor at Collegiate, the Honor Code stresses individual and corporate integrity. This code stands as an affirmation of values and therefore facilitates the transition from our Collegiate community to the world at large.

The Collegiate School of Memphis Honor Council is charged with upholding the virtues of the school’s Honor Code. Honor Council members are elected by their peers in an election at the beginning of each school year. In the event of serious or repeated violations, having proved an unwillingness to participate in the school’s culture of honesty and trust, a student may face expulsion from The Collegiate School of Memphis. The Honor Code and Honor Council represent the high moral expectations of Collegiate and seek to be a positive influence

toward building a community of trust.

See the appendix for the Collegiate Code of Conduct with additional information regarding expectations, negative behaviors, merits and demerits, unacceptable behavior, the Honor Code, and the Honor Council.

The Honor Code statement, “I have neither given nor received aid on this academic effort,” may be written on any given assignment followed by the student’s signature. The student signature declares that they have upheld the honor code for that work.

CSM Yard Sale on Saturday, November 14, 2026!

Collegiate is hosting its very first Yard Sale on Saturday, November 14, 2026! This fundraising event is open to the public, and we would love to invite you to become a vendor! Whether you have clothing, household items, or other goods to sell, or you own a small business you'd like to promote, this is a great opportunity to sell, connect with the community, and promote your business! You keep 100% of your profits! Your vendor fee will support our Athletics Department.

Student Event | HS Homecoming Friday, September 25 ( 9th - 12th grade only)

CSM Families, get ready for a night of music, dancing, and school spirit! Our High School Homecoming is bringing the energy of RIO to CSM, and we can’t wait to celebrate with our students!

Encourage your scholar to come ready to have fun, make memories, and celebrate with their classmates. Let the Homecoming festivities begin!

Homecoming Week | Dress-Out Days

CSM Families, Homecoming Week is here, and we’re bringing the fun all week long! Our dress-out days are a great opportunity for scholars to show their creativity and school spirit.

Dress out days:

Monday: Regular CSM Uniform
Tuesday: Dress for the Wrong Occasion
Wednesday: Frat Boy vs. Sorority Girl
Thursday: Meme Day
Friday: Carnival Day — Students will be provided with a shirt to wear!

Important Reminders:
• Dress-out participation is $1.00 per day to support the Student Event Team fundraiser.
• No glitter is permitted.
• Outfits must reflect CSM’s high expectations for conduct and dress. All outfits are subject to administrative approval.
• Shorts must extend beyond the fingertips when arms are relaxed. If they do not, leggings must be worn underneath.
• Jeans with rips or holes require leggings underneath.
• Shirts must cover the shoulders and midriff.
• Closed-toe shoes are required.

CSM Families, we invite you to join us for Chapel as we gather together in worship, reflection, and fellowship. We will focus on Integrity and the importance of living out our faith through our words, choices, and actions.

Students who pay $1 can participate in this fundraiser for the CSM Dance Ministry. Participants can wear a Hispanic/Latin themed top with their CSM-compliant pants/skirt and shoes.

Reminders

Rooted to Grow (R2G): September

Families - you are invited to engage with the same Bible verses your student will engage with for the month of September. Here is September's Monthly Guide (click here for the Spanish version) for you and your family to engage with R2G at home, together. The anchor phrase for the month, All for the Lord, comes from the verses Psalm 118:24 and Colossians 1:16.

Here are some examples of how this may look:

Read the verse together and take turns reciting it
Use one dialogue question as a dinner table conversation starter
Pray a monthly prayer before bed or in the morning
Write the verse somewhere visible, like on the fridge, a mirror, or a whiteboard
Ask your student what they are learning about the verse in class

There is no pressure to do it perfectly or to be a professional. Every conversation, every recitation, every prayer is an investment in your child’s faith formation and your family’s life together.

Physician on site for Physicals Thursday, September 24⋅3:30 – 5:00pm

Attention, basketball and cheer athletes!

A doctor will be on-site at CSM to provide sports physicals for students interested in participating. This is a great opportunity to get your physical completed and be ready for the upcoming season. Don’t miss out on getting cleared to represent our Cougars!

Day of Service & Fall Carnival Friday, September 25

On Friday morning, September 25, the entire CSM student body will come together for our annual CSM Day of Service!

Our scholars will have the opportunity to step outside of our school community, serve others, and see what God is doing throughout the city of Memphis. We’ll work together, build community, and put our faith into action by serving those around us. And when the service is done, the fun begins! We’ll come back together for a CSM Carnival filled with games, food, and plenty of fun!

Our prayer is that this experience brings our CSM family closer together and inspires our scholars to develop a lifelong heart for serving others. Let’s serve, celebrate, and make it a day to remember!

2026-2027 School Calendar

As you are considering traveling out of town and making appointments during the 2026-2027 school year, please plan around our school calendar. Students should not miss school for appointments and travel. Absences during first- and second-semester exam weeks will not be excused.

Please note that the dates for Spring Break 2027 have been updated on the Academic Calendar to match M-SCS. Spring Break 2027 is March 15-19, 2026.
