2nd Semester Begins Tuesday, January 6, 2026

As we enjoy Christmas Break, we’d like to remind everyone that students will return to school on Tuesday, January 6. We hope your break is filled with rest, joy, and meaningful time with loved ones. Merit Madness Wednesday, January 7, 2026

Students who have earned a "Merit Madness" t-shirt during the '25-'26 school year are permitted to wear their Merit Madness t-shirt with their uniform-compliant pants/skirt and shoes.

Out of Uniform | Winter Sweater Day Thursday, January 8, 2026

Students who brought socks for the sock drive are invited to participate in this event. Participants can wear a Winter Sweater with their CSM uniform compliant pants or skirt and shoes.

Chapel | Determination Monday, January 12, 2026⋅9:45 – 10:45am

We invite our CSM community to join us for Chapel: Determination on Monday, January 12, 2026, from 9:45–10:45 AM. This chapel will focus on the theme of determination as we encourage our students to remain strong in faith, purpose, and perseverance as we begin the new year. We look forward to worshiping and growing together.

Policy Highlight | Honor Code & Honor Council

In order to establish an environment of trust, nobility, and honor at Collegiate, the Honor Code stresses individual and corporate integrity. This code stands as an affirmation of values and therefore facilitates the transition from our Collegiate community to the world at large.

The Collegiate School of Memphis Honor Council is charged with upholding the virtues of the school’s Honor Code. Honor Council members are elected by their peers in an election at the beginning of each school year. In the event of serious or repeated violations, having proved an unwillingness to participate in the school’s culture of honesty and trust, a student may face expulsion from The Collegiate School of Memphis. The Honor Code and Honor Council represent the high moral expectations of Collegiate and seek to be a positive influence toward building a community of trust.

See the appendix for the Collegiate Code of Conduct with additional information regarding expectations, negative behaviors, merits and demerits, unacceptable behavior, the Honor Code, and the Honor Council.

The Honor Code statement, “I have neither given nor received aid on this academic effort” may be written on any given assignment followed by the student’s signature. The student signature declares that they have upheld the honor code for that work.

CSM Temporary Food pantry

If your family is in need of some extra food support, please know that we are here to help. CSM has a Temporary Food Pantry available for any families who may need assistance. If you would like to pick up items for your household, please contact Mr. Moya to schedule a time to come in. All conversations will remain private, and we are committed to supporting our families with dignity and care. CSM is committed to supporting our families—please contact us as needed.

Federal & State Public Safety Officials

We want to acknowledge the multi-agency initiative currently taking place in the Memphis community involving members of the National Guard, Highway Patrol Officers, and agents from multiple federal agencies. We understand that the presence of additional law enforcement agents in our city may feel unsettling for families.

The City of Memphis has created a webpage with information about the goals of this federal action, as well as guidance for families. In addition, Latino Memphis has resources on their website with suggestions on what to do if approached by a federal agent.

At Collegiate, our highest priority remains the safety and well-being of our students. As stated in our Family Handbook: “As an independent school, our entire campus is private property. Government agents and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers do not have access to our campus or our students while they are on our campus without a proper federal judicial warrant.” (Family Handbook, p. 21). Additional information about Collegiate’s Student Safety and Privacy Policy is available upon request in the Business Office.

We also recognize that events in the wider community can create feelings of worry or stress. Our School Counselor, Ms. Tate, is available to provide support for students who may need someone to talk to. Families are encouraged to reach out to Ms. Tate at ttate@collegiatememphis.org if their child would benefit from additional care. Mr. Moya, CSM Family Engagement Specialist, is also available to support families as needed. Families can reach Mr. Moya at smoya@collegiatememphis.org.

2025-2026 School Calendar

As you are considering traveling out of town and making appointments during the 2024-2025 school year, please plan around our school calendar. It is important that students do not miss school for appointments and travel. Absences during first and second semester exam weeks will not be excused.

Please note the dates for Spring Break 2026 have been updated on the Academic Calendar to match M-SCS. Spring Break 2026 is March 16 - 20, 2026.
