Winter Formal @ PLC
Friday, January 19th, 2024
6pm-9pm

Ticket Cost: $20 with sticker/ $25 without

All Door sales will be $30 - CASH ONLY, regardless of sticker!
Join us for a magical night in Narnia for our Winter Formal! 🦁❄️🏔️🕯️ Attire will be semi-formal so students can dress up if they wish, or they can dress casual. Included in your ticket price - Dancing the night away with DJ Morningstar 💃🕺, activities ✍️, games 🎲, food 🍢, photobooth 📸 and EscoGelato 🍨!
Studio Students are welcome. They can use the same ticket link above. ASB cards count as sticker price.
Outside guests are welcome with permission slip. Outside guest tickets can be purchased at the same ticket link above, choose the non-sticker ticket and you will see the drop down to choose an outside guest. Permission slips can be turned in ahead of time to the front desk, or they can be brought to the event.
Doors open at 6pm, and students must enter by 6:30pm. Students will not be permitted to leave the event until 8:30pm, unless parent permission is provided. If you have questions or need to make other arrangements, reach out to Activities Director, Lindsey Williams (lwilliams@classicalacademy).
All students checking in will need to show their student ID - either on the 5star App, physical ID or for guests their ID from their school.
The Tempest
The CAHS advanced drama class presents THE TEMPEST, by William Shakespeare. A tragic and comedic tale about revenge, magic, love and forgiveness.

Food Insecurity Service Opportunities
9.2% of the world population suffers from food insecurity. In San Diego, 1 in 4 people (adults and children) experience nutrition insecurity. It doesn't take much to make an impact. The attached flyer lists organizations that service diverse populations across ages, demographics, and religions. Grab some friends and choose an organization where you want cause change. Even better, you'll be fulfilling your service hours too!

CAHS-PL Grad Night
Thank you to all of you who filled out the Survey at the beginning of the school year regarding our Grad Night options. While the results were somewhat varied, the majority of students preferred Disneyland, with many students requesting that we go the same day and location as Studio.
We have been waiting to hear back from Grad Night venues to ensure that we have spots available. We have just received word from Disneyland that PLC has received our requested spots for this year!
We have decided to partner more closely with Studio this year to make things less complicated. There is only one sign up link for both campuses. Please see the link below to sign up. Spots are limited, but the link is open now! We will be sending out more information in regards to the actual day-of details as we get closer. For now, the most important thing is that you are aware that PLC is definitely going to Disneyland for Grad Night in 2024 and PLC and Studio seniors can use the same link to sign up.
In other good news, due to some fundraising donations, we have been able to get the total cost down for all Seniors!

Full Day Park-hopper Ticket Disneyland/DCA & access to Disney Grad Nite from 9 pm-midnight at Disney's California Adventure.
A chartered bus ride to/from Disneyland from CAHS (no seniors may drive themselves per Disney rules)
Tickets are limited to 200 graduates from both campuses, Studio & PLC. Please use this link to pay in full and secure your seat.
Bus assignments and information from each campus will be provided closer to the Grad Nite date.

Absent/Tardy Procedures
If your student is going to be absent or tardy, parents need to send an email to plcattendance@classicalacademy.com or call the attendance line at (760) 462-1585 to excuse them. Students who are excused to be tardy will then be issued a tardy pass at the front desk when they arrive.
