Teamwork & Communication

The students at Pittaway EDP sharpened their communication skills this afternoon with a special teamwork activity.  Students were paired together.  One student was asked to choose an object in the classroom and describe it to his/her partner.  The other had to draw the object based only on the description words used.  We came to realize that this was not an easy thing to do!  We really need strong communication skills to effectively work as a team.  After this activity, the students brainstormed ways we could communicate with each other throughout the school year.  Some answers were: saying kind words, drawing a picture, smiling, and laughing.

 During the year we will continue to work on using clear communication with one another.  We will also participate in other team building activities, so be sure to ask the students what they've been doing to make our class a stronger team!
