On Wednesday, 1/27, Mindess EDP 6th Graders served up a delicious dinner at the annual Cooking Club Dinner. The dinner capped off a four week culinary program featuring breakfast and lunch items, dessert, and finally, a three-course meal. Students prepared and served salad, baked chicken, twice-baked potatoes, roasted carrots, and chocolate mousse in graham cracker crusts. They also learned how to set a proper table. At the end of the meal the, each of the students was presented with a copy of the Williams Sonoma Cookbook For Kids as well as their recipe box with all of the recipes they had prepared during the four weeks. (Overheard during dinner prep…"This is just like Chopped, except no one is getting chopped!")
