Final Farewell

Throughout the school year, 6th graders from the Mindess EDP have visited the Pittaway EDP as part of a volunteer program.  Last week the kindergarten students had a Final Farewell party for the older kids.  They decorated shirts for the 6th graders and we all had an ice cream sundae party!  

A big part of the Pittaway EDP curriculum is our Time Capsule project.  Students complete this project in Kindergarten and we "bury" them at the end of the school year.  When the students return as 6th grade helpers, they are able to uncover their capsules and read all the things they wrote about so many years ago.  These 6th graders are reading their Time Capsules and everyone got a big laugh out of it!
