The Warren EDP students took part in the Children's Museum of Easton's travelling science program, "Science on the Go-Build It!" Monday afternoon. The children learned about engineering and simple machines, and were able to work in small groups to build a "tree" that would support a cupcake liner nest and plastic egg given a few materials. The team work was amazing! The students then learned about catapults and made their own with giant Popsicle sticks and rubber bands, using a plastic spool-like object as a fulcrum. They enjoyed catapulting pom-poms and packing peanuts, trying to see how far they could go, all the while figuring out out how to make their catapults work better. Science rocks!
