Launch day- 08.01.2025

Reception are so excited to start our topic ‘Wheels and Wings’ this term. Thank you to everyone who has completed their project work. The children have talked about their wonderful models and collages which has inspired us to explore vehicles by learning about their features this week. Our role play areas have now changed, and the children have created their own narratives using props and real life objects. We can’t wait to explore this topic further. 

Launch day- 04.11.2024

The reception children had an exciting and engaging Launch Day as we explored the themes of ‘Fizz, Wizz, and Pop!’ We examined global celebrations and traditions, discussing how people come together worldwide to celebrate. For example, we looked at the creation of sparkling fireworks for Bonfire Night and the crafting of beautiful Diya pots for Diwali. Next, we introduced the new role-play area set up as an Indian restaurant, where we examined some traditional utensils, foods, and drinks. The children proudly shared their holiday projects with their classmates, asking thoughtful questions to learn more about each other's work. A highlight of the day was the involvement of parents, with cherished photos from our Bonfire Night celebrations at Ally Pally bringing back the magic of that evening.
