How Many High Schoolers have Possession of Marijuana?

Marijuana is a drug from a cannabis plant. Marijuana is used for medical reasons and can cure things such as Alzheimer's, cancer and eating disorder. Kids also will use this drug just for the fun of it. Usually they start doing marijuana because they are peer pressured into doing it by their friends, and if they don't do it then is makes them seem weak or they are not cool. Also, teens tend to do marijuana because they see other people such as other kids or adults do it and figure that it is okay for them to do it.
How would a student get a hold of marijuana when they are not even allowed nor old enough to have it? Most students would be able to buy this drug from other students or other people why are considered “plugs”. A plug is really a person who sales drugs to you for a reasonable price even tho they know you are to young to even have marijuana (usually people you know or are familiar with). If students do not buy marijuana from other students they will either grow it by themselves or will steal the drug from people in their households. According to verywellmind.com 53% of teens 18 and younger use marijuana ( you have to be 21 or older to have possession of marijuana)
Marijuana is a good use for health needs and could cure symptoms. But when you are not using it for a good cause lung irritation may begin. When you start to have lung problems, that turns into breathing problems and when you have breathing problems it makes it hard for you to do things such as running. For example when your lungs have been exposed to a lot of smoke, you will probably not be able to run as much without running out of breath easily. Lastly, if you continue to use this drug, lung irritation will soon turn into lung cancer and that is serious because you can actually die.
8th grader Juan Carlos says “ A student that is younger than 21 years old should not be smoking marijuana, unless if is prescribed to you and you really need it for a good reason. Overall Smoking at a young age is not good idea.”
