Create a Portrait Folder in your Art Google Folder - Make sure to label & upload images!
You need to find an EXISTING example of each of these types of portraits AND also take YOUR OWN photographs using these techniques. These will be glued in your sketchbook and formatted like the image to the left.

Analyze/Annotate what works, what doesn't in both.

Remember to make margins small and format them to try to fit 12 images on each sheet of paper so that you only need 2 pages for 24 pics
Reflection
Take a portrait through a glass of water OR of a reflection of an object or puddle.
High Contrast
This technique utilizes extreme values - bright light and dark shadows with few grays - to create drama
Neat Shadows
Cast shadows can create abstract images and interesting repetition on the subject
Depth of Field
This technique uses clear focus in the focal point of the photo while other areas are out of focus.
Silhouette or
Detail is not needed for recognition of subject. Shadows, backlighting or low light can be used to create interesting silhouettes.
