DAY 1 - LOOK AT EXAMPLES
Glue at least 2 of the following features in your sketchbook
Make them at least 2" square (Larger will be easier to see detail)
Eyes
Nose
mouth
ear (if time)
Be sure to leave room next to the image for you to draw it the same size
Draw the features with a full range of value - you may use a grid
DAY 2 - Pencil Check
First 30 Minutes of Class
Draw contours of the images and shade them. Make them as visually accurate to the source image as possible
EXTENSION - After drawing ONE realistic example you may stylize your second drawing of the same feature
45 Minutes into class - blind contour drawing activity with water soluble pencils
SB - Hand and Portrait Watercolor Paper - 2 portraits
Add AT LEAST 1 Realistic Features (Areas of Detail) to the Water Color Paper Drawings
Augment the drawing with watercolor shading, detailed feature may be ANY medium
DAY 3 - All Work DUE at END OF CLASS
Work to be photographed - images on website and in your google folder
Sketchbook page(s) with 2 eyes, 2 noses, 2 mouths, possibly 2 ears
Sketchbook page with continuous blind contour of hand
Artwork - 2 images of continuous blind contour portraits with 1 realistically drawn facial feature
Turn in ALL work listed above - Tuck Loose work into your sketchbook
