LOOK AT EXAMPLES ON THIS BOARD BEFORE DECIDING WHAT PHOTOS YOU WILL USE.
2 landscapes - strong foreground, mid-ground and background.
2 Interior images - strong foreground, mid-ground and background
3 Objects/Animals that are IMPORTANT to you - Needs a figure-ground relationship (not floating in space).
2 Food/Beverage Images - Think of a family recipe or a cup of tea in your favorite mug
3 Portraits - You are familiar with selfies, take some interesting ones. Examples - Dawoud Bey
3 Drawings from your IMAGINATION!
One of them must be a Zoomed painting that you then photograph with its larger original context. Examples
The photographs are references and you may change them (color, stylization), but they must be recognizable as originating from the original category above.
Take an image of a few of your "Polaroids" together.
Ask a peer which piece they feel is most successful and why.
Answer the following questions in paragraph format.
What did you like and/or find challenging about using the Polaroid format?
What did you like and/or find challenging about using watercolor? Would you use watercolor again?
Which piece is the most interesting? Explain why.
Which piece is the most technically well done? Explain why.
Do you feel that you improved during the project? How?
